Course overview

Bush Adventure Therapy is a holistic approach to human health and wellbeing for individuals, families and groups at all ages and stages of life who are experiencing difficulty or hardship.

This Course guides practitioners in how to develop, deliver, supervise, and evaluate safe and effective Bush Adventure Therapy experiences. Specifically, the course prepares practitioners to combine an intentional use of nature contact, physical activity and group work towards client-directed therapeutic outcomes within a comprehensive psychological safety net.

Course training blocks

Year One

First Training Block: Within the first month of the Course (8-day Residential in Victoria)

Second Training Block: Towards the end of Year One (10-day Journey in Tasmania)

Year Two

Third Training Block: Towards the end of Year Two (6-day Cultural Immersion – location to be decided)

Course costs

Year One

Early Bird cost for Year One: $8,000*

Standard Cost for Year one: $10,000*

Year Two

Early Bird cost for Year Two: $5,000*

Standard Cost for Year Two: $6,000*

*Payable in instalments over the duration of the course.

* The BAT Practitioner Course is two years in duration, leading to the equivalent of a Masters level qualification. Students may choose to leave the course after one year, at which point students will have completed the equivalent of a Graduate Diploma level qualification. The total standard cost for two years of study is $16,000.00, payable in instalments.
